When first assigned by the US Army to Uganda, Alice and I moved there with our children. Our son,
Randolph, was 12 years old. He went to a British boarding school (Manor House) in Kitale, Kenya.
Our association with East Africa continued with a second assignment, this time to Kenya. When I
retired from the Army, I joined World Health Organization in Switzerland and spent several more years
across the tsetse-fly belt of Africa. Our daughter, Carroll Ann (who went to a British boarding
school in Eldoret, Kenya) was later married in Nairobi and her two children were born there. Thus, our
family was well acquainted with parts of East Africa. Time passed quickly, and Randolph's eldest boy is now
12, so it was decided that he would bring Kevin, 12, and Gregory, 10, to see some of the places we used to know.
These are a few pictures from our trip to Kenya.
