Yes, I am exctied to say that we did make it down last week. Sorry to say that I am back at work.

We had a great, but really fast week. (You know those beach trips go by too fast.)

Thanks for asking!

I know what you mean about missing the beach.

Dunes Village was great! They had the doors around the pool closed (for the most part) and you could swim and hang out in the hot tub. We used the pools more this trip than we did in June.

The beginning of the week was really quiet and the number of people increased as we got towards the weekend. There were enough people there for things to be open, but it was still easy to get around and no lines anywhere. Resturants closed a little early, we are late night eaters and we knew we needed to be at out to choosing a location no later than 8pm. We shut down Drunken Jack's one night.

It was rainy and cool a couple of days...nice enough to walk on the beach with a jacket, but not hang out there. A couple of days were in the 70s and nice enought to be in the surf. Water was cool, but not cold. No jellyfish. That is always a good thing.

Our one hickup on the trip was the rock slide on I-40.

We will definately go back in the fall in the future.
